Sir William Howe: What were some of his downfalls and triumphs during the Revolution?

He won the Battle of Bunker Hill [1775] and became Commander in Chief.. He captured Brooklyn, New York with naval assistance [1776] and after the victory at White Plains, Washington the following year he defeated the rebels at Brandywine Creek. After inaction and then failure at Valley Forge, he was dismissed and succeeded by Sir Henry Clinton in 1778.
