What do YOU think the message of this poem is?

Take a step outside of this world

Off this domineering curb of society

And into the cracks

Stray from the roles

For which we are either destined

By fate

Or this corrupt system

Stand with me in triumph

For I am the remedy

I am the rebellious teenager

I am the unwed mother

I am the lost child

I am the forgotten

And when this world gets too loathsome to watch

To hideous to see

Depart in confidence

For we are the truly awakened

Stand where lake becomes sea

Where mountain becomes plain

Where forests become barren

Where lust becomes love

And where the wings of the eagle

Caress sweet lavender winds

And soft salty skies

Live with me outside your atrophy

Away from the decadence of what is genuine

And with my splendor

For I am love

It is my own work and I want to know if Ive thoroughly illustrated the theme. so tell me what you think it is. and any suggestions? Be honest. what do you think? you wont hurt my ego.

I think its beautiful first off.

I think its asking for originality and to be free from the burden of this world of people who believe it is only acceptable to copy, be followers, and puppets. It is asking us to see things for how wonderful they are and to break away from this zombie life we live. Its asking that we break the pattern and be unique and open our eyes to the things we take for granted.

Dance Cat says it best. No need to say more except that I admire your work very much. Please post new work here on occasion for our pleasure.
