Communism in China was different than in the U.S.S.R. What is one major economic difference?

What is one major decision made at the Yalta conference ? What two countries were involved in the cold war? Who were the leaders of each? What does the Truman doctrine say? What is a main goal of Ho Chi Minh? Why did Mao Zedong triumph in China? Why did he gain support? What was the idea that stated if communists took over one country, others would also fall to communism?

1. Chinese accepted capitalism and markets. They just murder people for dissent.

2. Yalta - I think - was the place where the division of Berlin was agreed.

3. Russia and the USA

4. Stalin, Molotov, Kruschev, Brezhnev, Chernenko, Andropov, Gorbachev and FDR followed by Truman up to an including Bush I

5. USA will assist others to block Communist expansionism.

6. To keep the French out.

7. Because the USSR had set it up by infiltrating the Kuomintang during the inter-War period and fomenting the attack that provoked the Japanese in Shanghai, when they had intended to attack Beijing first. (see recent bio of Mao)

8. Mao ruthlessly suppressed opposition and pretended to be friends with peasants.

9. Yes - Communism was meant to be a borderless movement and this was why there was the Communist International and the idea that they would spread was called the Domino Theory. Despite criticism, it seems to have been basically correct.
